# Verified Electricity Data for Suppliers

> How suppliers can document and share their specific electricity mix with furniture brands in Målbar LCA — replacing generic country averages with verified, site-specific data.

Furniture brands increasingly rely on supplier-specific data to improve the accuracy of their climate footprint calculations. By default, Målbar LCA uses generic country grid averages when calculating the manufacturing phase of a product screening. Verified Electricity Data replaces that generic assumption with your actual energy mix — making the result more precise and more credible.

This is especially relevant if you use renewable electricity or hold PEF-aligned green certificates.

  Verified Electricity Data is a standalone service. A subscription to the Målbar LCA platform is **not** required to participate.

## How it works

Målbar reviews your documentation, clarifies green certificates against PEF rules, and implements your electricity mix in Målbar LCA.

1. **Submit documentation** — Complete a Målbar questionnaire covering your electricity consumption, production site details, green certificates, and processes performed at your site.
2. **Målbar reviews and verifies** — We assess your green certificates to ensure they are applicable under PEF methodology before proceeding.
3. **Your data is implemented** — Your electricity mix is integrated into Målbar LCA and automatically applied when a brand selects your production site.
4. **Annual renewal** — The dataset is valid for 12 months. Målbar contacts you three months before expiry to support revalidation.
